Procedure:-

1 - Set the distance from the stop to the cutting slot.

2 - Slide timber strip to the stop and saw part to length.

3 - Repeat step 2 until all parts have been sawn.

Cutting thin timber (1/32" [0.8 mm] or less)

Bench hook (timber on which strips can be sawn freehand)
Try square
Strip being cut to length
Lightly scoring strip with craft knife (Note slight angle to ensure cut is over bench hook)

Procedure:-

1: Score the strip

2: Cut through with a rocking movement.

3: Complete the cut
